Beatrix the Great Dane used to eat way too fast. She was attacking voraciously and just gulping it down.
It never caused a problem for her however it just seems like it would be better her to eat a little more slowly. So we started feeding her in a muffin tin and now she does eat much more slowly.
As an added benefit we can also more easily see how much she has eaten because she seems to eat one of the sections at a time, OCD style.
