I took off my brace to sleep in a hotel bed last night. The blanket was heavy, tucked in on the sides, so the pressure kept me moving it very carefully during the night.
This morning though I woke up with an incredible amount of pain. I have walked around with out my brace in the morning to go to the bathroom and take a shower for the last couple of weeks and today walking right out of bed was very painful on my knee. The pressure of my weight had me feeling like I needed to keep my weight off my knee in a way that I haven't done since the days after surgery.
One nice thing about this room in the Oxford suites us that it was their last queen, which means it was their handicapped version and the bars in the shower helped while I worked out the early morning kinks. I needed those bars though as the annoyingly soft water required extra rinsing.
